WTF ars technica? Assange is not facing any rape or assault charges in Sweden he is just wanted for questioning and there are no women accusing him of anything. The prosecutor at the behest of the USA is trying to charge him anyways but so far he is just wanted for questioning! A woman filed a complaint when he didn't use a condom and wanted him tested for STDs. The prosecutor nudged by the USA decides to turn this into a rape charge without the cooperation of the woman. No victim is accusing him of anything.

Ars didn't say two women accused him of assaulting them, they said he was accused of assaulting two women. There's a very, very big difference there, and you seemed to have missed it. Also, two women, not one, and while no victim is accusing him plenty of people have committed crimes and gone to jail without being accused by a victim. Both of their statements clearly imply assault and rape.

And you are correct, he has not been charged, because Swedish law won't let them charge him until after he's been extradited and questioned again, but considering there's an arrest warrant and an extradition process I'd say it's pretty much a sure thing he'll be charged. Regardless, Ars says "accused" not "charged."

You may be right that the US is monkeying with this, but your "WTF ars" is completely unwarranted, as not a single sentence of their article is incorrect. Your understanding of the situation appears to be, though.
