Had an email glitch last night, so a couple of stories from yesterday were delayed until this morning. Everything seems to be normal now, so hopefully I'm more-or-less caught up.
R.I.P.: Eugene Polley, inventor of TV remote, dies at 96. Thanks Ant via Slashdot.

Fatties blame everyone but themselves. That's the problem in the world, a lack of responsibility. "Put the fork down". Yeah it's frustrating. Just exercise a bit and have a modicum of restraint with food. Going for as little as a few 30 minutes walks a week is enough to get by even. I eat like a slob half the time. I just make sure that I don't eat the entire pizza in one sitting, I actually go the gym and do other physical activities. Also stop drinking soda, there are other tasty fruit drinks that actually have some nutritional value and don't cost you 400 empty calories a serving. I love gaming and TV as much as the next guy but there are other fun things to do outside and as a bonus you actually meet people.
I see so many fat little kids these days, its really disheartening that many parents just let their electronic devices serve as a virtual babysitter. We got to play games when I was a kid but there were time limits and we were encouraged to do other things. |
