I was really disappointed in the first few levels as well. There weren't enough interesting events, and I couldn't find enough to do to keep my level in line with the content I was finishing.
Once I got into the 7-15 range, I had a lot more fun. The events were more substantial, and I always had a lot to do. The 15-25 zone was especially fun, but I only spent an hour there. I'm pretty sold on the game now, but they do need to fix the friends in overflow problem.

You select a target, turn on your auto attack (make sure you're in range), and occasionally hit one of your other very limited (number of, that is) abilities... I played a warrior and guardian, almost exclusively melee, and I had to dodge a ton or I died. I think ranged can just stand and spam, which is less fun and also imbalanced. Being up close with mobs 3-4 levels above me, I had to watch for their special attacks and negate them, or lose half my life. Did it require the reflexes of a FPS? Not quite, but I enjoyed it. |
