I would agree with that...if this was a perfect world. Unfortunately it isn't...as Psychonauts and a few hundred other games will attest to. The problem is that the system, as it stands right now with retail sales, is weighted towards all the sales made in the fiscal quarter the game is released during. In fact, not even that long...more like the first month.
Perhaps with the growth of digital sales that will change. I mean, without digital sales where would the indie market be right?
