Thanks Mashiki

So apparently the face code "bug" is not a bug, but yet another "Fuck you, old fans!" middle-finger from Bioware. If you created a custom Shepard in ME1, and imported that face into ME2, it WILL NOT import into ME3.

Because, after all, why would you do anything for the people who have been supporting your franchise since the first game, when there's THE NEW SHIT to be courted?! All those 14 year olds won't have played the first game, and that's where the money lies, doodz!

Sigh. It's not a big issue, obviously, I mean, it's a face, but if you're going to build your entire franchise on the continuity factor, and this works for ME1 to ME2, why the fuck won't it work for ME3 anymore? (Other than that your programmers were too fucking lazy to bother implementing it?)

Guess I'll just have to try to recreate Shep's face. Fortunately my femsheps were all modified in ME2, so at least they'll import...

Great job, Bio. I really want to support you guys, but you go out of your fucking way to kick in the teeth of your oldest and longest-time fans. :\

Edit : Origin decided to download ~340MB of the From Ashes DLC, then complain that it was corrupt, and decided to start over again. From scratch. "IT'S JUST LIKE STEAM!" Rolleyes

Edit 2 : This is worth a shot for those who want to try to save their old faces. I tried it on several of my characters and to be honest it didn't look much like my old Sheps, but eh. It's worth a shot, methinks.
