Steam news announces preloads are now underway for a free Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 weekend:

Activision will be hosting a Free Weekend for Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3! Pre-load the game now and be ready to play when the free weekend starts on Thursday, February 16th at 10am Pacific Time.

The Free Weekend of Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3 will let you play the entire multiplayer portion of the base game.

There are dedis - but then you aren't on a ranked game....so nothing counts to your toon.

Thats not quite true Bats, Ive joined dedicated servers that give 999999999 XP per kill.....didnt feel like playing at a disadvantage to the other players. LvL 80 in two kills. There are ranked and unranked servers.

Managed to get a product key dirt cheap. Didnt even bother to insall the singleplayer portion. As for the multiplayer, if youve played one Modern Warfare game youve played them all. Its fast paced and not at all bad. Although a lot of weapons are just plain useless.

My recomendation dont buy unless you are hardcore about these sort of games. Its not worth the full price.
