Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine Patch

Steam News announces a new patch is automatically available for Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine with some changes and fixes for Relic's recently released sci-fi action/RPG. Here's the change list:

Added mute all functionality and push to talk
Fixed 'butterfly' exploit.
Update matchmaking parameters to search for local matches longer.
Fixed a crash when cancelling a search
Fixed an issue where profile progress would not be saved properly if steam cloud was disabled.
Fixed an exploit where the player can move at high speeds when switching weapons with the Weapons Versatility perk equipped during multiplayer.

I'm not trying to be funny but if you only wanted the title for co-op then wouldn't it make sense to buy if AFTER it included that feature, not before. Afterall, history has shown us many developers that promise features but cannot or do not deliver. If it underperforms then there is an obvious incentive to abandon plans for support and move on to something that will earn them money instead of cost it, despite the bad will it generates.

Also, buying it immediately undermines your position, as if they look at the sales figures and they don't see an increase in sales after the release of co-op they may consider that it wasn't successful.
