Out of the Blue

Today is the eighth anniversary of my mom succumbing to complications of breast cancer. This will never stop being a sad occasion for me, but of course it has become easier to cope with as time has passed. This year also presented a way to feel positive about it, as it coincidentally was also the New York City running of the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. MrsBlue and I participated in the 5K, I won't say ran, but the pace of our walking was pretty brisk, and it was inspirational seeing how many people turned out to run/jog/walk as well as the throngs offering encouragement. Hats off to tall the hard work by the organizers and participants, and here's hoping that every day brings us one step closer to the day when such events become unnecessary.

holy shit is it depressing being a Minnesota sports fan.....at the game, 6th row by the entrance tunnel....McNabb knows how we feel about him, and that is important to me.
