Betting on Duke Pays Off

Following the story of a 10-year-old preorder for Duke Nukem Forever being fulfilled, comes word on Gearboxity of more payoff for slash000's willingness to bet on Duke. As a reward for his faith, he has now received a signed copy of the Duke Nukem Forever Balls of Steel Edition, a Logitech G19 keyboard, and a whole boatload of SWAG related to the game (and you can fit a lot of SWAG in a boat). Thanks nin via Robert Boyd.

What? No signed copy of Daikatana, Postal 2, or Derek Smart's Universal Combat?

And the funny thing is, every single one of those was a "bad game" for different reasons...

Daikatana was a casualty of interminably long development hell. The last half of the game, idiotic ally AI aside, was pretty decent. The trick was getting that far... (to be honest, I couldn't without cheat codes - the first two episodes were DREADFUL).

Postal 2 was a garish, slap-dash attempt to cash in on the success of its predecessor.

Universal Combat was an ambitious, but flawed title where focus on scope ultimately detracted from doing any particular thing well, and allowed a lot of bugs to slip through.

Duke Nukem Forever was a game whose long development cycle didn't create a Daikatana-like progression of quality throughout the game, but rather a dated title that kept trying to "me too" the FPS "advancements" of the day.
