Out of the Blue

I woke up last night with a sharp pain in my abdomen, which I would describe as agonizing, which says a lot, as I am freakishly stoical about pain. A quick look at the Wikipedia reassured me this was not appendicitis, as I was missing many symptoms, not to mention the pain was on my left side. It took almost an hour to go away, and it probably wouldn't have been much longer before I gave in and went to the emergency room. I'm still fine now, and my best guess is that I may have been suffering with a kidney stone. I'll probably see my doctor about this Monday, which I can deal with: I am just happy this didn't require that trip to the emergency room, as I have a tremendous aversion to hospitals.

It's quite common for these things to be just gas.

I've found, in the last few years, I've had more chest pain associated with gas. Thankfully it passes, but it can be a bit uncomfortable.

I went to hospital with what I thought was appendicitis, Doc said na go home & it will "pass", I still get uncomfortable when Gandalf yells "you shall not PASS!"

Of course admitting this will make heroes of us all to our fellow gamers.
