Out of the Blue

We had some technical difficulties here in the Blue Tower this morning. It turns out there was a problem with the dreaded flaky cable, which is annoying, but at least fixing it was easy enough, once the problem was properly diagnosed.

Yeah, a piece of Cat5 Ethernet cable. No dog damage, it just rolled over and played dead in that way that only Ethernet cables seem to do.

Huh? I'm still using 25 yarders we bought at computer shows as kids, they're 11 years old now. Though the plastic tabs to secure them fell off in the first year... LAN hard.
