New Total War Game in The Works

A new installment in the Total War series of strategy games is already in development at The Creative Assembly, reports Eurogamer. They confirm that work began on the next Total War game began before they completed Shogun 2, though the setting of the new game is not being revealed at this time. They also have comments from TCA's Mike Simpson and Tim Heaton expressing satisfaction with Shogun 2, and describing the "long tail" sales pattern of the franchise.

Shogun 2 was indeed awesome.

What I'd really like to see is an Imperium Galactica style space TW game. That would make my day.
