GLaDOS@Home now shows that computations are still needed for only five more games from the Potato Sack, and the countdown to unlock Portal 2 stands at just under 10 hours. Meanwhile the potato counter is ticking off potatoes at around 20 per second, as the site says it is: "Engaging starch-based power cells." There's indication what that does.

It comes out at the same time regardless. Accelerated bars now along with potato fudge factor. As I've said in 3 posts now, its always been planned to come out around midnight, regardless of how much or how little work people did to "accelerate" the release.

This is as close to a victimless moneymaking scam as you can get, but it doesn't make it any less of a scam.
What they scammed me out of was my last lingering faith in valve that remained after the whole L4D series crap that valve screwed people over with and lied about.
Blizzard and Valve used to be 2 of my most respected and admired companies. Almost anything they put out was an automatic buy or pre-order. They've changed now, neither one much cares about the customer anymore, its all about the money, and squeezing all they can out of people. They've grown closer and closer to how EA acts.
