Ships Ahoy - DCS- A-10C Warthog

The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics announce the release of DCS- A-10C Warthog, adding a new aircraft to the DCS series as a follow-up to DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark. Their DCS- A-10C Warthog Section offers screenshots and loads of information about the game, as well as online purchases. Here's a bit on the game:

"DCS: A-10C Warthog" is a PC simulation of the U.S. premier Close Air Support attack aircraft. This is the second aircraft in the DCS series, following DCS: Black Shark, and raises the bar even higher in the DCS series. Warthog brings the most realistic PC simulation of a modern fixed wing combat aircraft in regards to flight dynamics, avionics, sensors, and weapon systems. You also have the option to play Warthog in "Game" mode for a casual game experience. Fly missions in the Caucuses region of the Black Sea against and with a wide array of air, land and sea forces with new and improved intelligence. Create your own missions and campaigns with the included Mission and Campaign Editors, and fly with and against friends online using the included online game browser.

Ive purchased it. It really requires a pretty beefy PC, as well as Win7 64 bit. Ive played a bit of the beta, it worked but just barely however the full version is supposed to be better optimised. I guess now is the time to switch to a 64 bit os.

Word of warning. This is a SiM. Its very very hardcore, yes there are some assists in the game (like lables without which it would be almost impossible to locate ground targets) but its still very hard to get to grips with the multitude of systems present in this plane.

Once you get in the air the A-10 is a joy to fly. Low level flight is exhilirating and a piece of cake.
