No, it doesn't, but that's how I meant it. Sony included a feature. People took advantage of the feature. The feature got removed.
That doesn't sound extremely unreasonable. I'd also question how many people actually used OtherOS. Extreme hardcore modders and institutions, but it wasn't the widely used feature it's made out to be here. Those that used it, though, bought the system probably almost exclusively for it. Which is further reason why it was no real skin off Sony's back.
If you actually read the article rather than just the headline it goes into some detail on why Sony felt forced to remove it when it became a liability. |
