The Official BF2 Twitter Feed reminds us that Battlefield 2 is now five years old, as the military shooter sequel was released on June 21, 2005.

Fair enough. What makes it enjoyable for me is the great squad work, and some (but not all) of the maps are truly outstanding (fallujah, lashkar, basrah, iron ridge). What game modes did you try? Insurgency, one you understand how it's played, is very original and engaging. Each round is different because the caches spawn at random locations. There's no other FPS with a mode like that that I know of.

Th level of squad teamwork/coordination in PR is unmatched as far as I know. As others here said, the combination of commander roles, squad leader roles, and all the other classes in this game are unmatched. Too bad DICE has mostly ignored their success. I guess they have to chase the the masses and the money.
