Steam News announces the deal for the penultimate day of their EA week. Today they are offering Mass Effect for 75% off and Mass Effect 2 and Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition for 40% off.

I would look up the extra items it gives you (just google for them with "mass effect wiki" in quotes as part of the search) and look at the stats for each. Unlike most cases, the extra armor and weapons don't become obsolete compared to normally available early and mid-game equipment, and the armors will remain effective through the entire game, provided you don't get sick of looking at it. On a side-note, there's also a lot of free DLC, so make sure you snag it all (Kasumi's paid DLC is also very much worth it for starting a new game compared to getting it after already being done. The Overlord DLC is, I think, better for saving until you've beaten the game.)
The Collector armor and Blood Dragon armor (though the latter doesn't come with the DD edition) are particularly nice for making a run on Insanity. |
