Stolen SF4 Footage Sought

The folks at i am 8-bit Productions send a note about the theft of some equipment from a Capcom Street Fighter IV event last night. They are not as concerned with the missing gear as the number of SD cards that were taken, which include irreplaceable footage from the event intended for use in a documentary for Japanese television about Daigo, a player flown into town specifically to compete at the fight club. They are offering a cash reward for the return of the cards with no questions asked. Word is:

We are prepared to offer a cash reward if that footage is returned to us. We don't care who stole it, we just want it back. We will NOT drag anyone through the mud; your identity will be kept secret. We can promise you that.

Just please, come forward. We can arrange for a drop point somewhere in Los Angeles.

Seriously, this footage meant the world to us. It was important to Daigo. It was important to Capcom.

We produce these kinds of events for the fans, and for the evidence of such a night to be ripped out from under us - well, it hurts.

It really hurts.

If anyone knows anything, please e-mail me directly. Your name will be kept anonymous. We are not out to get anyway.

Short of stealing the cards for the cards themselves (are SD cards worth the effort?), I can't see what stealing footage of the event that was taken solely for the fans would achieve. I mean it's not as if the thief knew it would be worth anything before stealing it, and the fact that a cash reward is offered now is lucky if nothing else. They probably were looking to steal the cameras themselves or as much stuff as possible and the SD cards were probably together with the cameras.
