Darksiders PC Plans

The Darksiders Website has word to expect a PC edition of this console action/adventure game from Vigil Games to be released in June (thanks Verno). Word is:

There are some of you who have been holding out on Darksiders because you want it on PC. Well, it's official. Darksiders is coming to PC in June, and it'll be just as awesome as it is on consoles. Take it from General Manager of Vigil, David Adams, "We are really excited to have the opportunity to bring Darksiders to the global PC audience. We feel that the growth of digital distribution and PC online communities creates a great environment for our game. We are working really hard to make sure that key features such as user-defined resolutions, interface and both keyboard and game pad control sets are all up to the standards for today’s discerning PC consumer."

Prez, it's like an open world puzzle game with light fighting elements. The best way to describe it is like Zyrxil joked: God of War meets Zelda. The game liberally cribs on mechanics and setpieces from other games but does so in the right way - it actually improves on or refines the inspiration it "borrows" from. It's a very entertaining formula, I'd really encourage you to check it out. As someone who never really loved Zelda nor God of War as much as other people seem to, I was surprised to find myself really engrossed by it.

I found combat to be really not fun and repetitive, the setting to be boring and empty, and the puzzles are mildly entertaining and redeeming, but they drop off as the game continues.

I played about 75% of the game, and then quit the game. A week later I traded it in towards Mass Effect 2 (I NEVER trade in games). Darksiders and Army of 2 40th day just didn't catch me at all.
