Threewave Layoffs

Threewave Software has "essentially closed its doors," reports Gamasutra, following up on a tweet saying: "The Threewave Vancouver studio has shut down due to no new contracts. RIP CTF gods." They had an exchange with Dan Irish, CEO of the company famous for its work on David "Zoid" Kirsch's Capture the Flag modification for the original QUAKE, who said "some, not all" of their staff was let go, and Threewave is "entering a reorganization phase," and: "We are trying to move forward in a manner that reflects today's realities."

Thunderwalker CTF for Q1 was the best ever.. I'm old school that way. HoudinKD] /remembers playing 3Wave CTF vs the Western Alliance boys.. and one big name.. Soda (aka: Northbend\|WA) .. he was the most dominating FPS player I have ever seen. /get off my virtual lawn!
