Pripyat Calls on DX11

DirectX 11 – What to expect on the AMD at Play Blog discusses the upcoming version of Microsoft's Direct X gaming API. In addition to technical details, the article also reveals that support for DX11 is snowballing, as the slate of games to use the API has now tripled (to three). In addition to the already announced DX11 support in DiRT 2, they also list GSC Game World's upcoming S.T.A.L.K.E.R: Call of Pripyat and EA's already released BattleForge as DirectX 11 games. Thanks Big Download.

I guess the Green Arrow pointing you to you new way point didn't grab your attention?

If I remember there were times you didn't have it. Maybe it was side quests. I don't know, it's been a while.

And what game in the last 15 years doesn't have you going back and forth to similar areas?

Oblivion and Fallout.
Anyway, there's a difference between having you do it (and maybe making it rewarding) and having you do it to make the game longer. Some games change the path slightly. Some games make the path always dangerous and always a challenge. In STALKER it was simply running. No firefights if you'd done it before. Just a straight run.

Shit, in the real world I do that.

If I wanted to do in games the tedious things I do in the real world I'd play The Sims 3.
