By the Numbers: Battlefield Heroes offers insights into the subscription-free microtransaction-driven model for Battlefield Heroes. The article goes into various statistics relating to play, such as the over 40 million times the "play now" button has been pressed, breakdowns of how often each class is played, faction loyalties, and more. As for the microtransactions, according to EA, players who use the in-game store end up spending about $20.00 each, but they are not revealing what percentage of players actually use the store, so there's no way to get a handle on what to infer from that.

Is this the 'dumbed down' PC upgrade that has ships, planes and infantry? Or should I stick with BF42, the second best online game ever made?
