Horrorscope, before you jump off the deep end this is shit I've been telling people for years. It works.
I haven't had a need to use full-time anti-virus on my systems since Windows 3.0. It pays to be preventative when it comes to security, the most important of these is not running your system in admin 100% of the time. That stops just about everything in it's tracks.
The second is not being a tard and downloading shit and installing it without some type of research or investigation. I use virtual machines to test drive software, especially anything I think is risky.
That top 5 article is the first good one I've seen in a long time. I'm not advocating for your average user to not use anti-virus, but I simply don't have a use for it anymore. |
