It's obvious by the calendar that it's winter, but I am disturbed to note that I can also tell by the mirror, as I seem to have put on a little extra weight. Of course, when you start out skinny as a rail like me, this may not seem like an issue, and sure enough, the 13-some pounds I've added over the past few months put me squarely within the accepted "normal" range for my height, but this is not exactly what you'd call muscle, so I think I should increase my activity level a bit to get rid of my newfound paunch.
