7-Eleven Breaks Wrath of the Lich King Street Date on 1Up reports at least one instance of the convenience chain conveniently offering the World of Warcraft expansion in advance of its release date (selling tomorrow's game perhaps making up for a predilection for selling yesterday's hotdogs). The article points out that the expansion probably won't be playable until the servers are updated anyway, but a jumbo coffee and a Slurpee will probably help you stay up to midnight if you manage to strike heaven at your local 7-Eleven. I've never actually been to a 7-Eleven, actually maybe once or twice during roadtrips years ago. I was under the impression that, like other convenience stores, they stocked "essentials" like food, drink, motor oil and toilet paper.

Everyone stops at 7-11 for impulse purchases,

I never go to a convenience store unless it's like 2 AM and nothing else is open, but since Wal Mart showed up that's never been a problem.

Does 7-11 actually offer competitive pricing because in my experience convenience stores operate under the impression that anyone shopping there will be buying what they came for, regardless of price. I'd never go to Stop n' Go expecting to get a good price on anything.
