WoW Paid Customization Coming

WorldOfWar.Net has a tidbit from BlizzCon, where Jay Allen Brack was asked about indications from World of Warcraft game files that paid character customization may be coming to Blizzard's MMORPG. After seeming to avoid the question at first, he eventually confirmed that paid-for character customization is indeed in the works, though no further details are provided.

Eventually there will end up more than one subscription model for these games. You'll get services like "basic" and "premium", and the premium model will cost a small fortune to maintain. Sort of. I think the evolution of the MMO business model will eventually lead to a nominal subscription, further support through ad revenue, and then premium services (either higher monthly sub or micro-transactions)
