Out of the Blue

This is from a post I made 12 years ago today about a LAN party experience: "Awesome. Two P166's, two P133's and a P120 hooked up to a 486-100 (Overdrive) via Ethernet was flawless. Client's pings averaged around 35-40 ms." That's a funny blast from the past; I get better pings across the country now, and probably have the processing power of that server in my cell phone.

Nostalgic Links: Thanks Ant and Mike Martinez.
Play: Pointless Platformer.
Story: The Butterfly Effect. Thanks Digg.
Images: Strange Star Wars Movies.
Media: More Girlfriend + Team Fortress 2 Madness.
Lame and Terrible Video Game Endings Second Edition.

before finally finding its way to the eco depot, perhaps 6-7 years ago now.

I've got my Compaq 486 still sitting in my closet. Thing is probably 15 years old by now. We had to get a new PC to be able to run Quake.
