Looking online for 60gb and 80gb models - now the argument easily stands on the price comparison....even adjusting for an additional HD for the 360! You are neglecting the cost of Live which adds $50 to the price of the 360 EVERY YEAR. Plus, I think most people want/require a wireless connection which is an additional expense.
Realistically, the two consoles (with comparable setups) aren't that far apart in price. In the end, you will wind up spending WAY more on games over the lifetime of the console so the initial hardware cost is a fairly moot point IMHO.
