To answer a question raised about the 20 lb batch of chili, yes, some of it will be frozen and some will be given away, but it also tends to get eaten rapidly enough that we could probably get away without even freezing any. I have a strong desire to experiment with home canning, I even have some Ball jars for such an undertaking, but properly canning meat requires a pressure cooker that we do not own, so that will have to be some other time. Anyway, the chili is chilling in the fridge, and should be ready to eat for the NFC Championship game today (I guess it goes without saying where my sentiments lie for the game).
