tangent: yeah, my bad. Single player COH is pretty good, on all difficulty levels. However, I'm currently playing the expansion atm and though this weeks patch got my performance back to what it was in the good old days, the mission design is now the sucks! Seriously! How did they blow it? (except for the invasion of Caen missions) Still, coh dosn't have the almost fully destructible terrain of Heroes of World War 2, though in every other way is a superior game. And what about XCOM? It was turn based, sure, but it was over a decade ago! Can't anyone invent some kind of awesome tiled 3d fully destructible terrain/object engine? Call of Duty 4 is a good ride apart from the fact that NOTHING BLOWS UP WHEN SHOT AT WITH HIGH EXPLOSIVES. Major illusion breaking flaw with almsot all modern games.

I can't program such an engine, I'm a drunken slob, but the thousands of dollars I spend every year on you software developers is getting me less and less return these days. There were old bullfrog games with deformable terrain/destructible buildings as well. What happened to the code junkies that were into that kind of thing? Are they all dead? Washed up?
