Revamped E3 Details

Entertainment Software Association Announces Details of New E3Expo (thanks Frans) has word on how the re-imagined E3 will shape up:

WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The new E3 Media and Business Summit will be held July 11-13, 2007, in Santa Monica, California, and will combine the best elements of the former trade show into a business event celebrating the video game industry's present and future, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) announced today.

The centerpiece of the invitation-only, three-day event will be the opportunity for both ESA members and non-members to stage major press events, and to have intimate meetings in premier hotel suites and meeting rooms with media, retailers, developer partners, and other audiences. In addition, the nearby Barker Hangar will be converted into a software showcase where attendees will be able to casually test drive the featured video games planned for the coming holiday season and beyond.

7. I always preorder if its Blizzard Oct 14, 2006, 09:40 MrTA

If it is Blizzard I always preorder, yeah have a preorder out for the ce of burning crusadse, im a blizzard addict Otherwise i just wait and see.

I have been lucky enought to get to E3 a couple of times now so I can say been there done that. But really I think it was better show for ppl who stayed home. Its so loud in there you can barely hear ppl talk, and all theese neon flash and other stuff makes your eyes tired and head hurt. Also there was to much to see on to little time so you just run around like some mad man trying not to miss anything.

I think you can say E3 is a sort of love/hate-releationship. Should be intresteting to see what happens to gdc now when E3 is downsized.
