Counter-Strike Beta Test Plans

A new Steam Message (thanks Frans) reminds us about Dark Messiah of Might and Magic preloads (story), promotes some new casual games they are hosting on Steam, and announces plans to beta test the upcoming free-market version of Counter-Strike: Source:

Starting on Wednesday of next week we'll be starting a beta of the new Counter-Strike weapons market that we first announced here. The beta will give us some real-world data to start the market going, along with making sure that any issues get fixed before we roll this out to the entire community. Information on how to join the beta should show up on most of the major Counter-Strike news sites.

I never understood how you get money. Terrorists and governments are usually well funded, so why do you start out with 400 dollars and have to win to get more money. They should "fix" that first. Well MajorGeeks... Don't get fooled by those who say "CS is all about realism!"
