GTR 2 Demo

The promised GTR 2 demo is available a bit earlier than anticipated (as of this writing the countdown is still running on GameSpot), offering the chance to sample SimBin's motorsports sequel. Word is: "This GTR 2 demo gives you the chance to drive one of two FIA GT class cars against up to 15 computer-controlled opponents at the Barcelona GP circuit." The download is available on 3D Downloads, 3D Gamers, Computer Games, eXtremePlayers, Filecloud, Gamer's Hell, and Worthplaying.

Actually, yeah, the AI in this was very good, though I really didn't think about it - perhaps that's a sign of how good it is. They race quite hard, they find themselves off-line sometimes, and they go for the pass where they can, but I was never bumped off the track or slammed into from behind by them. They also seem to brake at about the same rate as the player, rather than the amazing out-braking the AI seems to do sometimes in rFactor/GTR. Other than that, it's a great sim, but I'm sure the LFS/netKar/Anti-gMotor people will disagree.
