An
informed looking forum post yesterday convinced us it was worth a try
brining the chickens before grilling them, so they've been soaking overnight,
and we'll give them a shot today.

PC Woes... |

Hey all...
I'm having a problem with my main PC where I'm getting a Floppy Disk 40 error at boot up - and I don't even have a floppy drive - and when I bypass the error and the PC starts the boot sequence, right after the screen you see where the IRQs are assigned the PC reboots itself.
So, I'm thinking this is a problem with the I/O port on the mainboard itself and if it is, does this mean it's given up the ghost and time for me to finally get rid of this machine (I won't be replacing anything for this PC as it's 3 years old and I was going to get a new rig in August anyway). Could it possible be something else and/or is there a workaround?
