Prey: Limited Edition, Yes - Linux, No

Prey Limited Editions revealed (thanks Mike Martinez) has images of the shiny box and pair of shiny figurines purchasers of the Prey special edition will receive for their $10, in addition to the game itself (on DVD no less). There is also the opportunity to snag a third figurine if you preorder. On the other hand, LinuxGames (thanks Ant) has word that there will be no Linux client for the imminent first-person shooter, which uses the DOOM 3 engine, for which a Linux client is available. They point the way to this forum post by Human Head's Brian Karis, who says that while there will be a Linux dedicated server for Prey, there will not be a penguin-powered client, citing lack of interest.

I don't really want to get into a Linux vs Windows kick because I think that the majority of stuff written in this argument by both sides is total crap. I don't really think that was even your intention Beamer, I'm assuming you were refering to HH's support of a linux client rather than the entire gamet of OS'. However to prevent a set of tedious replies I'd just like to say that I work in a mixed environment with Windows and Linux machines and a variety of users use them for a variety of uses, for us at least it is worth it.
