It's and raining out there today enough that it's messy enough to start with,
but there are trenches and holes in our street from all the recent excavation
around here that are filled with dirt temporarily as they await repaving… you
would not believe just how much mud is welling up and floating around out there.

Btw anymore reactions from SIN? I'm thinking of getting it i like it. i'm 4 hours and 45 minutes into the game (i play slowly and look for every secret) and i am enjoying it more than i expected to. twice i thought i was at the end, only to have the action continue.
it's very similar to HL2, but with a lot less of that paranoia/Matrix vibe and a lot more humor and b00bies. the level design is great, the action is frantic and fun, the story is interesting, the graphics and sound are on par with those in HL2.
i enjoyed HL2 a tiny bit more, if only because i really like the HL universe and mystery. i think many people are bashing SiN just because they hate the episodic pricing model. me, i figure $18 (i pre-ordered) is worth it for a 5 hour game that i'll play through twice. and i'm not exactly rolling in cash...
bottom line: if you enjoyed HL2 and you are in the mood for some similar FPS action, and paying $20 for 5 hours of play (yes, i know it only takes 4 hours if you run-n-gun through it) doesn't bother you - then you can't go wrong with this game. i'd give it about 87 out of 100. a solid B+.
