D&D Online Module Released

This press release announces the promised availability of the first free module for Dungeons and Dragons Online:

WESTWOOD, MA – April 6, 2006 – Turbine, Inc. announced today the release of the first content module for DUNGEONS & DRAGONS ONLINE™: Stormreach™ (DDO), the hit game that has quickly become one of the fastest-growing MMOG (massively multiplayer online game) in North America. The Dragon’s Vault module, the first in a series of modules to be released by Turbine, pits players against a legendary foe – the red dragon - in a new large-scale raid feature. Turbine will offer the Dragon’s Vault module free of charge for all current DUNGEONS & DRAGONS ONLINE™ subscribers as a way to say “thank you” to all of its fans. Well I think instances are good in moderation. It's one of my major sore points with games like Guild Wars and City of Heroes/Villians. If you are bouncing around from instance to instance for missions/quests and only hitting populated zones with other players for trading/selling/repairing/upgrading etc you aren't given or really look for people to do groups with.
Example is most of the people I meet and become friends with and quest with are just chatting with them or joking etc. In World of Warcraft these type of areas would be Goldshire or the Crossroads (yeah yeah I have an army of lowbies), or one of the smaller citys/villiages. Only time I go to a major city is for banking, trade skills, buying/selling and getting new spells, or to get to another continent.
