SiN Episodes Times Nine

The SiN Episodes Website is online (thanks Shacknews) as home to Ritual's upcoming episodic shooter sequel, offering a bunch of new screenshots and other information about the game. Also included is an Episodes Index with a listing for the upcoming Emergence, and eight more spots reserved saying "coming soon," as well as inactive tabs on the front page for episodes 2-9. If SiN Episodes does eventually include nine installments, this would translate to between 27 and 54 hours of gameplay based on their estimate of three to six hours per episode, and if the approximate $20 per episode price point continues (which is not certain), this would put the cumulative price tag at about $180.

Lets see. 4-6 hours of gameplay. We'll call it 5, okay. So that's 5 hours per episode, multiplied by 9 episodes,...*breaks out calculator and pushes buttons for 15 minutes*...okay - 45 hours of gameplay. For $180.

Or, I can refuse to look like a complete idiot and just buy 'Oblivion' for $50, which I'll play for over a hundred. Or I'll keep playing 'Guild Wars', which I've played for 60 hours, and show no signs of stopping. I could fire up 'Silent Hunter 3', for which I paid $20 and have played for 100+ hours. Heck, I paid $25 for Morrowind and played that for 5670 hours. (Give or take
