So I keep getting errors playing QuickTime movies on my computer, getting
messages that a vital component is missing. Fed up with this I went to the Apple
site to pick up a full install of the latest version, only to learn this
apparently can only be installed as part of an iTunes installation. Is this
really the only way to properly update QuickTime now? Rather than force me to
install iTunes, this just has me ignoring this problem for now. R.I.P.: Buck Owens, Country Singer, Dies at 76 (registration required).
