Half-Life 2: Episode One to Stand Alone

Half-Life 2 will not be required to run Episode 1 on Eurogamer has answers from Valve's Doug Lombardi to some follow-up questions they sent about the upcoming episodic follow-ups to Half-Life 2, learning along the way that the original game will not be required to run Episode One.

Aftermath was NEVER going to be a "full-featured" expansion in the first place.

Every single interview or report dealing with the game since it was mentioned last year indicated that it was going to be an shorter "episode" not a traditional "expansion".

The only thing that has changed since then has been the name.

Honestly, sometimes I wonder about the reading comprehension of you people.
