Game
Politics has word that a Utah bill that has already been struck down once is
being proposed again, this time rewritten to focus solely on games, equating
violent games with pornography. If passed, it could be a felony in Utah to
knowingly sell or exhibit violent games to minors (which is apparently the case
with porn).
Game Politics is also reporting that some presumed dead legislation is still
alive in North Carolina: "The legislation would make it illegal to sell games
deemed 'harmful to minors.' In addition, such games would need to be displayed
in an area not accessible to minors. Information concerning game ratings would
also need to be displayed."
