In a reverse of the more normal pattern, it rained all night and now has been
snowing all day. I needed to drive somewhere today, but it's so ugly out there,
I think I'll just play it safe and lay low. Where's the hot cocoa?

I'm writing this on the forum in the hopes that maybe Blue isn't aware of this, and maybe he can convince UGO to lighten up on the spyware. I've got pop-up blockers that keep this to a minimum, but it's obviously still a problem.
I would say your IT department at school needs to get with the program and install FF like the majority of other schools, colleges, and corporations are doing (or researching).
On top of that, a little tweaking of the network hardware and workstations would catch other things. Blocking sites isn't really an option in the real world anymore.
/edit: And there is always www.logmein.com to use - to remote to your home machine and do whatever you want.
