Well our plans, or lack thereof, for New Years Eve may turn out to be a
blessing, as MrsBlue is feeling a bit under the weather, so staying home may be
the order of the day after all. There's still plenty of time for her to shake
whatever she's picked up though, so we will just have to see how this all plays
out.

I've seen the catfish farmers out on the catfish ponds with a spotlight at night. I've heard they do that when feeding them. Something about the light makes them come to the top.
Yup, it's called....wait for it....wait for it....spotlighting. The Indian Tribes here in MN got in trouble a few years back for doing it at night, on top of NETTING! SO they would use very bright lights to bring the fish to a certain area, then put a net around them.
Which is ok long ago before technology - but a very good way to wipe out fish in a lake in recent times.
