Dungeon Siege II Patch

The Dungeon Siege II Downloads Page (thanks Frans) now offers a new patch to update Gas Powered Games' RPG sequel to version 2.2. Word is: "The Dungeon Siege II Update v2.2 includes numerous fixes and updates. The v2.2 update is a 11.8MB download which incorporates the earlier v2.1 version and will update either a v2.0 (Retail release version) or v2.1 game to the current v2.2 version. For all the update details, please read through the readme file."

"Dungeon Siege II Patch 2.2 requires 2.5 Gigabytes of free hard drive space to install properly. " Can someone please explain why an 11 MB patch requires 2.5 GB to install? boggle
