I'm fairly certain FEAR is mostly scripted I am 100% certain it is not (not in the traditional sense anyway). Fear's AI is an extension/improvement of that used in NOLF 2 and Tron where each NPC is assigned specific behavioral characteristics similar to how Unreal 200X bots are programmed, placed in an area, and then sent on their way. It's not rigid scripting in the traditional sense with "walk here, play this animation, then run to this point, jump to here, climb here, etc.). The NPC's react and respond to their current situation based upon predetermined behaviors but it's not a fixed script.
