Out of the Blue

Over the past couple of days in BF2 I have had a new experience. While many drivers jump into jeeps and such and start blaring the horn to alert passengers to hop in, I've had an unusual run of watching folks eagerly drive off solo. Many of them had to be aware of my presence, and in spite of that, or my requests for rides, they just head off on their little missions alone. I guess I need to make it clearer from the start that I'm willing to pay for gas.

On the other hand, so many of the folks I've driven or flown with lately have a complete inability to operate their vehicles, maybe these selfish drivers are doing me a favor by heading off to park in the line of fire or drive off cliffs by themselves.

One thing I'm really enjoying in BF2 is the whole "brotherhood of the chopper" thing =). Seriously, 2 out of 3 times when I get into a chopper, I end up with someone who is willing to share, and we take turns gunning and piloting for the whole match. The best is when you can do this on a VOIP server and form your own chopper squad. Of course, the 1 out of 3 is when you get TK'd as your about to hop in. But that can be "fun" as well, if you're willing to be a revenge seeking asshat.
