- Half-Life 2
The
Doug Lombardi Q&A on GameSpy chats with the Valve rep about Half-Life 2
now that the shooter sequel is gold: "During installation the user will be
prompted to authenticate the copy and create a Steam account. After that is
complete, the single-player and LAN games do not require an Internet
connection." He also promises more info on TeamFortress 2, an SDK, and more
CS: Source and Day of Defeat maps, all to appear "soon."
- Dungeon Siege II
Edge
Gaming's Dungeon Siege II Q&A talks with Sarah Boulian about Gas Powered
Games' upcoming RPG sequel: "We are of course taking advantage of recent
Shader technology, and you'll see the kinds of particle, heat, smoke and so
on effects typical of recent games (provided you have a video card that
supports that technology, of course it's hardware-accelerated). Dungeon
Siege II's content will have its own distinct, detailed, beautiful style,
and we think, looking back at DS1, you'll be astonished at how far we've
come, even compared with the benchmark qualities of our original game."
- Scrapland
The
Scrapland Q&A on GameSpot talks with Enlight's American McGee about
Mercury Steam Entertainment's new science fiction game: "Imagine a set of
scales made of metal. Old ones--like the ones held by that lady who measures
justice. On one side picture a bunch of bananas. On the other side picture
some angry weasels. (Poke them with something to make them angry if they
seem too placid.) Good, now see how dynamic the bananas and the weasels are
with that blind lady trying to figure out what the !(@# is going on with her
scales. That's the kind of balance we were looking for. Try it, you'll like
it. You are a banana by the way. "
- Time of Defiance
The
Time of Defiance Q&A on Warcry News Network discussing the new version
of Nicely Crafted Entertainment's MMORTS game in an article-format Q&A with
Mark Ashton.

I just turn it off. It's not that hard. Right click -> exit. Firstly, that's annoying to have to do.
Second, some programs won't let you.
