Another Half-Life 2 Gold Rumor

Rumor Control: Half-Life 2 gold (for real) and the PStwo ships early on GameSpot has the latest results from their Magic 8-Ball, as another site rushes to announce that Half-Life 2 is gold. This time the report is based on an "informed source." If the game is indeed gold, the plan is apparently to trickle the news out via word of mouth.

On a related note, has anyone seen the new issue of PC Gamer? They played the full Half Life 2 at Valve HQ and reviewed it (also confirming that the game is, in fact, completely done and has been for a while now). They gave it a 98% score, saying "Surpasses Half-Life in every way. Arguably the best game ever made."

No, damn it, tell it to hurry up and get delivered.

Side note: How can anyone into FPS watch that ~20 min HL2 demo_trailer_full and not be excited about the game? The interactivity looks amazing! I don't care much about announcements and hype (except to poke fun at some of it), but, man, that video of gameplay looks cool.
