Colin McRae Rally 2005 Demo

This Codemasters Downloads Page now offers the promised test drive of the PC edition of Colin McRae Rally 2005. Here's word on the 284 MB demo: "Tear up the countryside in the racy Peugeot 206, the classic Toyota Celica GT-FOUR and the monstrous and totally lustworthy Lancia Stratos as you go round 3 of the final 300+ stages from the game." A mirror of the demo can be found on 3D Gamers, ActionTrip, Boomtown (registration required), Computer Games Online, Filerush (torrent), Gameguru Mania, Gamer's Hell, Fragland.net, and Worthplaying.

It's noticeably better than 2004. I especially like how the tracks feel more open in general. I wonder if all the tracks are going to be as interesting as these demo ones are - they're much more remarkable than 2004's tracks were.

In the end however, it's still the same rally game as 2004 was. Just a bit more polished.
