DOOM 3 Benchmarks Follow-up

Team Radeon has comments from ATI about the recent spate of DOOM 3 benchmarking (story), pointing out the game is not yet available, taking a stab at NVIDIA's precision (in spite of their own "fudging" being questioned by Carmack during the testing), and saying they should have new drivers "available in the coming weeks." There is also a raging Rage3D Discussion on the possibility of an ATI DOOM 3 bundle, supported by some blurry camera phone shots of the associated promotional materials. This rumor is one of those they run through their magic 8-ball in the latest GameSpot Rumor Control/(Mongering) column.

The 6800 Ultra blows away the X800 XT PR

Are you sure your reading that article? Blows away? .9-9 frames? I dont even play at 10 x 7, so I see them as dead even. Thou im not intrested in either card, atm.

This benchmark test also proves how much better the 6800 is compared to the x800.

Actually I see the ATI win 4 slots there. They are at 10 x 7 and all intications are that ATI gains with increases in resolutions,

I dont see any difference in PS3, real time for gamers, maybe we will but dont see anything but PR BS at this point.
I used to care about Far Cry till they started wasting time on this BS instead of actually fixing the games many problems. PS3 development is killing thier fan base.
Im not arguing for or against either card, just shocked how people are willing to overstate/exaggerate as if it makes them a better person, which of course would be physcotic

Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history.....and they are stupid. Dwight D. Eisenhower
